About FGAIM

One family, from every nation

Full Gospel Assembly began in 1987 in Yangon, Myanmar, with five people and a vision. God called Rev. Dr. Dam Suan Mung to serve his people through the full gospel: good news for the whole person, spirit, soul and body, as 3 John 2 prays: “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”

That small gathering became a movement. Today Full Gospel Assembly International Ministries (FGAIM) is a family of churches across Myanmar, the United States, Australia and Southeast Asia, united by one Spirit and one mission.

Our story

1987 · Yangon, Myanmar. Full Gospel Assembly holds its first gathering with five believers.

1996 · Training leaders. The Full Gospel Bible Training Center (FGBTC) opens in Yangon to equip pastors and ministers for the growing church.

Growing across Myanmar. The Yangon church expands to more than 30 outreach locations across the city, and more than 80 churches are planted throughout the country.

2007 · Tulsa, Oklahoma. As families from Myanmar resettled in the U.S. as refugees, Pastor Dam Mung and Pastor Vung Niang planted FGAIM in Tulsa on October 7, 2007, to give them a spiritual home in a new land. Thirty people came to the first service.

Today · Worldwide. FGA churches now gather in 6 countries, 26 congregations in all, from Yangon to Tulsa, Sydney to Singapore.

What we’re about

Our vision. We pray that every tribe and people of Myanmar will know Jesus Christ as Lord, and that wherever our people are scattered, they will find a Spirit-filled church to call home.

Our heart. We want every person who walks through our doors to encounter the presence of God through anointed worship, the preaching of the Word, and the power of the Holy Spirit, and to leave refreshed, healed and filled.

Beyond Sunday. Alongside our churches, FGA runs:

  • FGBTC, a Bible training center in Yangon since 1996
  • El-Shaddai, an orphanage caring for children
  • A school of worship, which trains the next generation of worship leaders
  • Evangelism, fasting and prayer, the steady rhythm behind everything we do

You belong here

Revelation 7:9 describes a great multitude “from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.” That’s the family we’re part of, whatever language you speak and wherever you are.
